Spring is almost upon us and with it comes a rebirth of bright, fun and playful colors we’ve been longing to grace us with their presence. If you’re like me, the pandemic has likely led you to rocking an au natural look whether you’re safely going out or holding it down at your home office. At the same time, I find myself wanting to explore something new and fun and I find the best place to explore color is on your pretty pout! With Spring colors ranging from muted, feminine pastels or bright and bold hits of pink, orange, or purple, there are multiple ways to explore and find the right shade that speaks to you.
1. NYX Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream in ‘Manila’
Such a fun and bright color! What I love about the NYX lip formula is it glides on your lips so effortlessly and is truly long lasting. This pairs perfectly well with a fun Spring day and the best part, it even includes a metallic finish for a true pop of fun!

Unfortunately, like how all our makeup favs leave the market, this fun lip color is discontinued BUT you can find it on eBay or other resell sites if you really want to give it a shot (I’m hanging on to the last bits of it for as long as I can!). And you totally should! This peachy nude color is so Spring forward and great for an everyday look, especially if you’re not feeling like a pop of color that day. The moisturizing satin finish makes your lips feel so luxurious and is long lasting too!
4. NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in ‘Rock With You’
You might be thinking this is SO dark to be a Spring color but, keep in mind, berry shades are our Spring friends too! This is great for a Spring evening night out and if you’re feeling bold and really want your pout to stand out. Also, this pigmented color won’t be leaving your pout anytime soon (unless you want it to of course!).
5. Rare Beauty Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lip Cream in ‘Ascend’
A very buttery, smooth, and effortless formula and in a shade that screams Spring time! I feel like you can’t have Spring without a fun pop of magenta – the go-to Spring color!
