I must confess, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with my eyebrows. I know eyebrows are meant to be sisters and not twins but UGH can’t they just be?! Why is my right eyebrow nicer than my left eyebrow?! I just want some continuity here! Well, I think I’ve found my answer. Yep, the eyebrow gods have shone their knowledge onto me so, I’m going to shine you with some knowledge too.
If you’re a beauty lover, you know how important of a role the eyebrows play. They’re literally the frame to our face so, I think my frustration lies with just that. My uneven eyebrows not framing my face the way I want them to! Luckily the techniques I’m about to share have changed my eyebrow game forever and have upped my eyebrow confidence once again. Read on for my tips to make your eyebrows their best yet!
How To Set Your Eyebrows
Step 1:
Comb your eyebrows. Assuming you’ve neatly trimmed your eyebrows and taken care of any stray hairs, using a clean spooly brush, comb the front of your eyebrows in an upwards motion.
Step 2:
Fill in your eyebrows. I love a good eyebrow pencil like Anatasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (or L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer for a cost-effective alternative – it’s practically identical to the Brow Wiz!) as it’s easy to apply while still leaving my brows looking as natural as possible. I use this to fill in any sparse areas, starting from the front to tail of my eyebrows. I like to keep my brows looking as natural as possible, but, if you’re more into filling them in even more, do your thing!
Step 3:
Set it and forget it. Now that our brows are perfectly EVEN and looking a little more like twins, we want them to STAY that way, right? Here’s where your brow gel comes in. I used to hate brow gel as it always left white, flaky residue behind but there are WAY better products out there now. I love Benefit’s 24-hour Brow Setting Shaping and Setting Gel as it has a great dual-ended brush and LITERALLY keeps my brows in place for 24-hours. If you have curly hair like me, you know your brow hairs can get wavy and have a mind of their own too. This product is great for that!
