Breakfast, lunch, mid-day snack – this guy can be enjoyed anytime of the day. Living in California, I’m super fortune to have an abundance of yummy avocados at my expense! But, you too can make tasty avocado on toast wherever you call home.
Like I said, this yummy snack is super versatile! So much so that I’m showing you 5 ways (what?) that you can enjoy it. It’s so easy to make substitutions to this as well whether you’re gluten-free, vegan, or dairy-free. Whether you like to keep it simple or dress her up a bit, its still yummy whichever way you make it! Read on for 5 ways you can up your avocado on toast game.
Avocado on toast 5 ways
Plain Jane
Ingredients:
1 ripe Avocado
Juice of Half a Lime
2 slices of your favorite Bread
Ground Sea Salt, to taste
Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Step 1:
Cut avocado in half and remove and discard pit. Scoop out avocado flesh in small bowl and mash using the back of a fork.
Step 2:
Mix fresh lime juice with mashed avocado.
Step 3:
Spread mashed avocado mixture onto bread. Season with sea salt and black pepper – enjoy!
Egg me on
Ingredients:
1 ripe Avocado
1 hard-boiled egg
Butter or Butter Substitute
2 slices of your favorite Bread
Smoked Paprika, to taste
Ground Sea Salt, to taste
Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Step 1:
To prepare hard-boiled egg, add fresh egg to small pot of warm water, cover, and set on medium-high heat. As soon as water begins boiled, remove pot from heat (with lid still on) and let rest for 9 minutes. Remove egg from hot water and let cool. This will give you a perfect hard-boiled egg with no grey ring around the yolk!
Step 2:
Add thin layer of butter on toast and set aside. Cut avocado in half and remove and discard pit. Thinly slice avocado length-wise and arrange slices on bread.
Step 3:
Slice hard-boiled egg crosswise and arrange avocado toast. Season with smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper – enjoy!
Mambo Italiano
Ingredients:
1 ripe Avocado
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
Ground Sea Salt, to taste
Ground Black Pepper, to taste
2 slices of your favorite Bread
1 Plum Tomato
A few leaves of fresh Basil, for garnish
Step 1:
Cut avocado in half and remove and discard pit. Scoop out avocado flesh in small bowl and mash using the back of a fork.
Step 2:
Mix olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper to mashed avocado. Spread mixture onto bread.
Step 3:
Cut tomato cross-wise into thin slices and arrange on top of avocado toast. Garnish with fresh basil leaf – enjoy!
Green Machine
Ingredients:
1 ripe Avocado
2 slices of your favorite Bread
Butter or Butter Substitute
Ground Sea Salt, to taste
Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Arugula, for garnish
Crumbled Goat Cheese, for garnish
Olive Oil
Step 1:
Add thin layer of butter on toast and set aside. Cut avocado in half and remove and discard pit. Thinly slice avocado length-wise and arrange slices on bread.
Step 2:
Season avocado toast with sea salt and black pepper. Top with arugula, goat cheese, and a drizzle of olive oil – enjoy!
Sweet Dream

Handful of fresh Blueberries
Crumbled Goat Cheese, for garnish

Step 1:
Cut avocado in half and remove and discard pit. Scoop out avocado flesh in small bowl and mash using the back of a fork.
Step 2:
Spread mashed avocado onto bread. Arrange blueberries on top, goat cheese, and drizzle with honey – enjoy!
